Bob Martinez may be most recognizable to some as a television and radio personality in 1970s and '90s Sacramento and the Bay Area. Behind the scenes, Martinez has worked for more than three decades with the State of California in a number of high level administrative and managerial positions. Beginning with Assistant Secretary to the State Personnel Board, Martinez also served as Director of the Department of Economic Opportunity, Commissioner of the California State Lottery, Director of the Governor’s Office of Planning & Research, Director of the Department of Aging, Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, Chief of Strategic Planning & Organizational Development for the DM, and Director of the Real ID Project Office, for the US Department of Homeland Security. He now consults for the project management firm Delegata. Martinez enjoys playing golf and serves as President of the East Portal Bocce Club in East Sacramento, where he lives with his wife, Jan Irene.
